Dr. Mohinder Singh Jus

Was bedeutet ein Krankheitssymptom?

The book "A disease's journey" by Dr. Mohinder Singh Jus is all about the beginnings and evolving of homeopathy with all its principles and explains the homeopathic concept of healing in suppression. What does a symptom mean? Why am I not healed automatically, if a symptom vanishes? If a symptom vanishes, where does it go? Which route did it take?

Dr. Mohinder Singh Jus was one of the most prestigious homeopaths and teacher of homeopathy in Europe. He founded the SHI Homeopathy School in Switzerland and was a student of B.K. Bose and therefore following the famous homeopath James Tyler Kent.

Quote of the seventh edition of the book of Dr. Mohinder Singh Jus:

"Since the start of my practice I am very well aware of the delicate distinction between healing and suppression of a symptom. Thanks to the analysis of several cases the connection between the disease itself and the role of miasms as the true cause of human suffering became clearer more and more. This understanding helped me to comprehend the process of my patients diseases and to avoid possible suppressions of symptoms.

Nowadays it seems to be more topical than ever, that as many people as possible understand the danger of suppressing a symptom and gain a deep understanding of disease and health. Our hectic life style seduces us to make symptoms disappear rapidly. We even rarely allow ourselves enough time for recovering from a cold. If this book enlightens a little bit, my mission is accomplished. A homeopath is a companion of a sick person on the way towards health. It is a joint way, which requires trust and patience. In order for the patient to participate actively at his process of healing it is of advantage, if he or she understands the meaning of the symptoms and is acquainted with the basics of homeopathy."
